Martial Arts Confrontation XI First KSW Federation World Champion

The eleventh child of promoters Martin Lewandowski and Maciej Kawulski saw the light of day. Another huge mixed martial arts event featured the first two rounds of an eight-man middleweight tournament, of which the winner would be decided at the next KSW show. Federation owners ensured the MMA fans that the competition would be stiff contracting highly-talented cast of modern gladiators from Poland and abroad. Polish team included Artur Kadlubek, Aslambek Saidov, Lukasz Christ and MMA debutant Krzysztof Sadecki. Foreigners Vitor Nobrega, Sergey Nikitin, Michelle Verginelli and Andre Reinders completed the line-up. Interesting battles, devastating stand-up exchanges in Sadecki vs. Reinders bout were the highlights of the night. Nobrega and Saidov won their two fights and advanced to the big finale scheduled for the December. As usual there was even more excitement provided in the extra fights. Lukasz Jurkowski served Attila Vegh his first career loss after two competitive rounds. KSW Team member Antoni Chmielewski clearly outpointed Dutch veteran Michael Knapp. In the most meaningful bout of the night Mamed Khalidov faced Brazilian Daniel Acacio in the first KSW World Championship match. It took the Chechen born fighter only seventy seconds to knock the Pride veteran completely out. His victory over highly-regarded Brazilian opened a lot of eyes in the biggest MMA organizations all over the world. KSW 11 was undoubtedly a perfect success and another breakthrough on the Polish combat sports scene.
